There are those people who organise their lives down to the finest details and others that are amble along, happy to see what is around the next corner.

These personality traits can be demonstrated in an approach to booking your next holiday too. You may be one of those that has a detailed itinerary already typed up and distributed to friends and families weeks before departure, or maybe you have booked a week off work and plan to get a ‘last-minute’ package-deal via the internet or at the local travel agent?

Each has its merits but whatever your approach Cumberland House would recommend ensuring that your holiday gets off to a flying-start with our “Park, Sleep and Fly” deal!

Cumberland House is two miles from Gatwick Airport but is not under the flight-path so enjoys minimal interruption whilst being so conveniently placed. We are ideally situated to offer peace of mind too:

Book a night’s accommodation and free transfer service prior to your holiday departure and rest-assured that you will have a good night’s sleep knowing that you will at the airport terminal in time, without the hassle of not knowing the route or finding a car-park!

You can literally “park, sleep and fly” off to sunnier climes knowing that your car is safely situated at our premises, and your transfers are organised and booked.

Not everyone will drive to the airport and often use public transport: the fastest train service from Central London (London Victoria) is the Gatwick Express which travels directly and operates seven days a week. Trains are non-stop and run every 15 minutes from 05:00 to 23:45 and at 03.30, 04.30, 00:01 and 00:32, with a journey time of 30 minutes on Monday – Saturday and 35 minutes on Sundays.

Connex South Central and Thameslink also run a service with a slightly longer journey time of 35 minutes. There are four/five trains per hour, Monday to Friday, with an hourly service overnight. For information on these services call the National Rail Enquiry service on 08457 48 49 50 or see the www.gatwickexpress.com .

Bus and coach services make frequent journeys to Gatwick Airport too, with many direct services from / to places such as: central London, Bristol, Brighton, Birmingham, Cardiff, Oxford, Cambridge, Nottingham and Norwich.

Of course, there are plenty of taxis too but these can be very expensive – and why book one when all your needs are covered with a ‘Park, Sleep and Fly’ deal?

If you decide not to travel in your own car and arrive by alternative transport then our Shuttle Service will collect you and it is free! Further details about this service is available on our website at https://cumberlandhousegatwick.com/gatwick-airport-hotel/transfers/ or download our useful booklet: Flyers Guide to Gatwick.
